In this particular way Tuscan coast offers a plenty of beaches, equipped  or not.

At 10 minutes far from Pisa there is the big beach of Marina di Vecchiano that continues without interruptions till Viareggio.

 

Thereafter  there are the famous Versilia's beach resort.

 

To the south of Arno river, less than 30 minutes far from Pisa, you can reach by car or by bus Marina di Pisa beaches or the confortable beach resort of Tirrenia pine forest.

 

If you prefer the sand instead of rocks you should not travel  for a long time: to the north or to the south towards Livorno, you can find breath -  taking landascapes.

 

If you are interested in a travel a little bit longer ( at most 2 hours) you can find in Liguria the famous 5 Terre; to the south you can find the famous Baratti beach ( after this you can find the amazing archeological etruscan park of Populonia).
